Siam Ahmed is a popular hero of Dhaka cinema. Siam’s new movie Andhar, directed by Raihan Rafi, is going to be released soon. The actor spoke to The Daily Star before the release of the new movie.

How Will Audiences Perceive Siam in Andhar?
Siam Ahmed said, “The post-production work of the movie Andhar is underway. Hopefully, the audience will get a good movie, a good work. We wanted to give the best gift.”
When asked about the experience of shooting for the movie Andhar, he said, “The experience of shooting was great. It was a very good experience. I would say it is the best work of my career. I got a very good script. The story was also excellent.”
“The script has been progressing slowly since 2011. The reason it took so long to write the script is because it’s a dream project. The team I worked with is the perfect team.”
When asked about his character in the movie Andhar, he said, “Interesting character. I don’t want to talk about the whole character. But I will say this, there were many challenges physically.”
When asked how difficult it was, he said, “I wouldn’t say it was difficult, I would say that I have developed a love for the work. I have become very involved in the work. There are many surprises in this movie. I can say it is a new challenge. I enjoyed the work while shooting. That’s why I didn’t find it difficult.”
About director Raihan Rafi, he said, “My first film was directed by Raihan Rafi. I started my journey with him with Poraman 2. Six films were made under his direction. We have worked together since the first film. Both of us have matured. We have received the love of the audience.”
“Rayhan Rafi trusts me a lot. I do too. I am trying to keep up with more and more good work. I don’t know how much I have been able to do. The audience will be able to say good things,” he said.
Regarding the audience’s demands, Siam said, “The audience has liked all the works. I have been able to give them something to remember. The last film, Junglee, was released, and I received a lot of love for it. Besides, I received a lot of praise and love from many people even after playing a guest role in the film Tandav.”
Many viewers want to know why the movie is being released so late? In response to the question, he said, “I have also heard that the audience is waiting a lot. That waiting is for good work. Even if it is late, I want to bring good and quality work. The more time I spend working, the more love I get. I am also very grateful to the audience.”
Incidentally, Siam Ahmed has won the National Film Award twice (Mridha vs. Mridha and Bishwa Sundari). He came into the limelight with the movie Poramon 2.
